What if the organic, natural fauna and flora of the Botanical Garden in Zurich were populated by artificial tiny creatures? With little robots that cannot be seen by the naked eye? Büro Destruct enlarges these insect- and alien-like creatures called «Microns» and makes them visible and audible for the visitors. The «Microns» are ultra tiny robots that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Only through massive magnification do the tiny creatures become recognizable – as unique beings with optical borrowings from insects, beetles or aliens.

They originate from the «typedifferent» type shop of Büro Destruct. As an initially useless by-product of a computer font called «MicronFont», the «MicronRobots» were brought to life in the form of a variable font. They could be discovered for the first time in 2019 at the second Technoculture Festival of «Les Archives du Futur Antérieur» in Fribourg on the former site of the Cardinal brewery.

Now 10 artificial tiny creatures are nesting in scaled form in the organic, natural fauna and flora of the Old Botanical Garden in Zurich.
